Were we supposed to have already scheduled the interview??

Ok so we gathered all of packet 3 finally and we are sending that off on Monday, but were we supposed to have already called them with our case number and scheduled the interview?? Because I thought they would assign us an interview date after they received packet 3 from us....please tell me we aren't in for another 2 month + wait >.<!

After you send in your packet you should get an interview, see other Australia threads on K1, (China Embassy for us).

Ok thats what I thought but I saw another thread where they made an appointment right after NOA2 and that made me freak out for a min lol Thank you!

No, you're fine, every embassy is different. For Sydney they will send your your appointment letter (Packet 4) once you send them the documents required (Packet 3).

NO you won't be waiting another 2 months. Check out some recent timelines that have been issued visas and you'll get an idea of how long the rest of your process might be...

I sifted through the Consulate instructions and from what I could see, the Consulate schedules the interview. I would suggest contacting them to see if one has been scheduled.

Hi,

I posted my Pkt 3 on 29 March, 2012 and as of today, 8 April,2012 I have not received Pkt 4. That's five weeks. The Sydney Consulate is processing very slowly at the moment. I called the Consulate but got transferred to a call centre in India. Emails haven't helped, either. If you get your Pkt 4 within a couple of weeks, think yourself lucky, but do prepare for a long wait.
