Hi Team,

I just wanted to let you all know I am sending my package off tomorrow. I wanted to give you all a heartfelt thank you for your assistance in this paperwork process. Especially Harpa Timsah, AtariBaby, NancyNguyen, and PurpleViper

I will see the April filers in the Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports forum!

Keep good thoughts for me-fingers crossed for no RFE's!

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

Good luck! Double check all signatures and look over your I-864 another 5X if you must. That is the one thing most people (from what I have seen) get RFEs for...including yours truly LOL. Good luck on your journey. :)

AOS TIMELINE (adjusting from F-1)


  • 06/24/2011 Wedding
  • 02/27/2012 Day 01 Filed AOS packet for (I-130, I-485 & I-765)
  • 02/29/2012 Day 03 Packet received @ Chicago lockbox (signed by "D Colonna")
  • 03/01/2012 Day 04 USCIS officially receives I-130 & I-765 paperwork according to their site.
  • 03/05/2012 Day 07 USCIS Acceptance (email) notification "NOA1" routed to NBC for processing.
  • 03/08/2012 Day 10 Checks cashed by USCIS.
  • 03/09/2012 Day 11 Received biometrics appointment letter; (appt. date= 03/27/2012)
  • 03/12/2012 Day 14 Hard copies (NOA1) received.
  • 03/15/2012 Day 17 RFE (requesting initial evidence) for I-485 sent (USCIS site.)
  • 03/20/2012 Day 22 RFE received (I-864 tax supporting evidence required for both petitioner + sole joint sponsor)
  • 03/27/2012 Day 29 Biometrics appointment @ local USCIS office successful. I-485 RFE responded to.
  • 04/03/2012 Day 36 USPS delivers on 3/29; USCIS officially receives RFE response (RFE Response Review)
  • 04/16/2012 Day 49 EAD approved email! Card production ordered.
  • 04/25/2012 Day 58 EAD card in hand; Get my new job on same day! smile.png
  • 04/27/2012 Day 60 USCIS mails notice for AOS interview
  • 06/01/2012 Day 95 AOS Interview (no decision)
  • 06/20/2013 Day 479 Still in limbo...waiting. sad.png (Reapplied for 2nd EAD and was approved tho)
  • 07/17/2014 Day 871 I130/I485 AOS approved.
  • 07/25/2014 Day 889 10 yr GC in hand! :)

They wanted evidence for tax filing. I sent them transcripts the 2nd time around.

Ugh, I went over the copies of my file and realized my husband forgot to sign his G325A. Guess we are getting an RFE right?
