NVC and Embassy

what if we can't contact the NVC to ask for our Case #. Can we instead call the the manila embassy to ask our manila case #? instead of waiting for days or weeks can we just do that before the mail arrives?

can EMAIL NVC, get the MNL casefile number, as well.

IME, it's two ways to 'get the number' -

1. call NVC, inquire with a human or

2. email NVC.

This 'call the embassy' route doesn't work, when the casefile is still at NVC .

If NVC sent your packet already to the embassy then they have your case number.

You can email NVC and they are very good with responding, they replied to my email inquiry very quickly'

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth.

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

* If you are an attorney, include your name and the name and address of your law office.
