How long did it take for your DS-230 form to reach Sydney?

Just wondering. I'm tracking mine and it says it's still in transit. I sent it 9 days ago with a letter to the U.S. at the same time which got there before this did. xD

Rough Timeline
(I'm terrible with dates)


  • Met online May 2008
  • Began dating August 2010
  • Met face to face July 2011
  • Became engaged October 2011
  • Filed Petition for Fiancé Visa October 2011
  • Approved case forward to Sydney Consulate February 2012 (with the wrong email address- caused a lot of stress trying fix)
  • Packet 3 sent to Consulate April 11 2012
  • Interview date sent back on April 18 2012 (according to them. I had to email to find out, which I got a reply to on April 26)
  • Interview scheduled for May 15 2012
  • Interview on May 15 2012: VISA APPROVED
  • Visa arrived in hand May 21 2012
  • Hopeful wedding date: July 7
  • Married July 7
  • Filed for AOS several days later
  • April 29, 2013: Immigration requested additional evidence (my medical)

  • Interview date sent back on April 18 2012 (according to them. I had to email to find out, which I got a reply to on April 26)
  • Interview scheduled for May 15 2012
  • Interview on May 15 2012: VISA APPROVED
  • Visa arrived in hand May 21 2012
  • Hopeful wedding date: July 7
  • Married July 7
  • Filed for AOS several days later
  • April 29, 2013: Immigration requested additional evidence (my medical)

Luckily we still have time, so I guess it's ok for all this to happen.

Understandable!! Just be happy we're from a country where the interview is a relatively painless process and that we don't need AP as a standard process. Some countries interview just to have to wait 6 months (sometimes more sometimes less) after interview until they actually get the visa... with no signs and nothing they can do to speed it up... scary.

Yeah, I'd hate to be stuck like that. I'll try to remember there are other couples worse off than me.

I called AusPost, and they said it was definitely received by the distribution centre in Sydney. The lady I talked to said they receive everything in bulk, so my forms might still be sitting there, just at the bottom of a huge pile or something. =P

I sent the consulate an email anyway, to try speed things up.

Bump.

So like I said above, the consulate should have my DS-230 form. In fact they should have had it for a while... did they respond to you straight away or did it take this long?
