Expediting From NVC

Hello, hope you all are doing good.

I was wondering, can someone expedite their case when their in the NVC stage?

If so, under the Financial category, I am the USC and I am petitioning for my Husband who lives in Yemen. I have a 7 month old and I dont have a job, Im a stay-at-home wife/homemaker, whatever you want to call it. As you all know, kids are very expensive. Well, my husband only gets less then 500 USD, and with diapers, milk, baby food and the such for infants its barely enough. I know it might not be a good enough reason but would USCIS/NVC accept my expedite on that reason, and he lives in an apartment so he has the rent for there and the groceries and electricity/water bill and the usual bills. Thats if they do expedites in NVC stage, which I think Ive seen a couple do it through that, but they were serious issues/situations. Would this be a good enough reason for an expedite, and on top of that Hes never seen his son only in pictures and my son has never seen his father.

Thank You for your time and patience. Good day!!!

And my husband just told me people are getting kidnapped their and the electricity is awful, it was starting to be good but it went back to bad and everything their is expensive.

You can make a request for an expedite, the decision on whether or not it is granted is up to the NVC.

Yemen requires electronic processing (EP), you would have to scan and email the forms and documents to the NVC. Having done EP myself (it was optional in my case, and I opted to do it), this is very quick. See this State Department page for more information.

you should CALL into NVC, and tell the operator that you wish to start an expedite.

You'll get instructions on what to do, what documents to send, via telephone.

re: email for expedite, no, sorry - usually starts with a telephone call.

There's more to do AFTER the telephone call, but start WITH the telephone call.
