Hello Everyone,

I have been an observant for a very long time and i just wanna say thank you to everybody and their suggestions because that helped me put together our materials for the initial filing process. have some questions that need some answers specifically to people who have gone through the Lagos Consulate in Nigeria. We got out NOA2 on March 19th and I am starting to get the documents together. Can someone please walk me through what they sent and if they sent extra documentation like more wedding photos, emails chat log, phone conversation history.

In addition, what specific documents were included in the pkg sent to NVC which was in turn forwarded to the Lagos consulate and do i need to include the police report in the pkg (since it is valid for just 3 mths). Also, what is the usual turn around time to get an interview date?

Thank you in advance for answering my questions

The thing that Lagos is trying to do is sort those that have a real relationship from those that are creating proof of a false relationship to get a visa to the US. It really isn't so much about the gross tons of evidence you can come up with as it is laying out the story of how you are a real couple. That you and he have intergrated your lives as best couples separated by thousands of miles can. That you communicate, share, intermingle like married people. The phone card and pictures just back up what you are telling them. If you have 1000 pictures and he doesn't have a clue about your childrens names your interview won't go well.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Just a quick FYI for everybody, i am Nigerian as my husband and our age difference is about 1.5yrs (i am 28 & he is almost 30) so my case is totally different from most people. I just need to know what to include in this next stage so that would be so much helpful. I understand where everybody is coming from but i just need to hear from people who have submitted documents to the NVC. Did they include more evidence or just the required documentation.

Once again, thank you for you response :=D

Thank you very much

Our I-130 will be going out by months end. Because we already were denied the i-129f I will be taking extra time to add more than enough information upfront. Not for the US but for the benefit of the consulate in Lagos. I want to say that we are confident that there will be no doubts that our marriage is real but this is LAGOS and anything can happen. I've read many posts here at VG and am using the information gained here to ready our petition. I wish you the best as Lagos is a ####### shoot.
