So, with cup of tea in hand, I've sat down to start putting together the i-129F package.

First step.. The cover letter.

I'm sure this question will be relevant to all of the examples provided on this site throughout..

Obviously the text in red needs to have the relevant information for my case entered. However, is there any need to change any of the black text?

Is this a situation where this is the formal and best way to present the letter, or is it looked down on to have essentially used a template for this kind of petition?

I'm sure that it's better to keep the form as it is in the example, but as always with me, I over-think on this kind of thing!

Thanks

Tony

I'm not sure to understand you question, but this is an example, if you want to modify it to make it better, you're totally free to do it. I think the cover letter example on VJ shows the simplest and better way to introduce your packet, but you can add additional informations that you judge to be relevant for your case.

Examples are to be taken as guides, not something to follow exactly.

The cover letter is optional. You can change it as much as you want, or not include it at all.

Make sure you read the USCIS instructions, these are more important than the VJ guide. The guide will help you, but the instructions are what you should pay the closest attention to.
