My sister married her fiance in the Philippines last February. Now she's back here in the US she is starting to file for I 130. Her question is, does she need her name changed on all her IDs like passport, state ID, and SS card before filing I 130? Please advise, any comments will be greatly appreciated. Thank you...

Dont know if sharing this helps. Proudly,Respectfully and Romantically I wanted to take on his name immediately, but I chose not to change a thing until my husband gets the Visa and I travel home with him. God Willing.

I filed my CR1 Status Quo.

This way I will not deal with any change in my passport and everything else that follows...bank accounts, ss, drivers lic.,Post office and many other things.

Good luck to her :star:
