Dear All,

Approval Notice Date on NOA2 is from 7/26/06 thru 11/26/06. It now looks like packet 3 will not be available in El Salvador until after that date. Do we need another approval notice? or do we have to have this one extended?

Thank you,

John

JohnL,

The Embassy or Consulate can extend the validity of petition.

"What if my petition expires?

Consular officers have the authority to extend the validity of petitions that have expired."

If you have concerns, you can write to the U.S. embassy in El Salvador from their web site. Just go to the section on visa services and look for "Contact the Consul". You should have your NVC case number first, so that you can properly identify your fiancee's case. They will give you a better understanding of the time line and what needs to be done concerning the extension.

Good luck!
