You can apply for AP (Advanced Parole). This will allow you to come and go until you receive your green card. Once you receive your green card the AP is no longer valid and you will use the green card.

if hes going to be there more than a year you should be put on his orders and you wouldn't need a re-entry permit.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Ah, that's how it works...thanks!!:)

Ya like if your going over there to live with him you should be on his order papers. Then you can travel on your green card with a copy of the order papers back to the US.

Can I file for Reentry permit together with AOS?

Yes, AP and EAD fees are waived with the applications are included with the I-485.

Good Luck !

OP was asking about the actual re-entry permit from being out of the country on a green card for over a year.

ah, sorry .. my bad.

here's the but/however...

Husband on military orders? she has some special category on returning - she may not even be considered to be out of the country, as well.

I can't recall the name of this, alas, but a re-entry permit isn't required for it - it's some special status when holding a DEERS card.
