I had an experience in calling USCIS, they didn't entertain my call because they said they need to talk to the petitioner. My fiance is busy at work, can i call NVC instead of him to get my Manila Case #?

They are reluctant to give information to the Beneficiary. Meaning NO. Why, I don't know.

:( anyway, how many days since approval did u receive the hard copy of NOA2 and the NVC letter?

Give it 2 weeks. The NOA2 is what your after. The MNL# is issued within days. Be sure you know all the information. Call : 1-603-334-0700 (NVC)

I would. Sounds all good to me.....

They are open until midnight, calling after 4:45 eastern time is easiest, and they are also good about responding to emails if you include the necessary in that I listed below.

Good luck ~

For the NVC:

Give them 7 - 10 days after approval (NOA2) before calling. Call after 4:45 PM eastern time for shorter wait times

K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

1-603-334-0700 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

Press 1 for English

Press 5 for an operator

NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

Website: www.immigrantvisas.state.gov

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

* If you are an attorney, include your name and the name and address of your law office.

yup! you can call them. i am the beneficiary and i was the one who called the nvc using my smart hello 2.50 pesos per minute call to US. only cost me 30 pesos to have my manila case number. when you call them, first they will ask for your case number. then name of petitioner and bday. name of beneficiary and bday. then they asked me what my relationship to them. i told them im the beneficiary then they gave me my manila case number. so be ready for those questions.

goodluck!
