Affidavit of Support, Letter from Bank

Hi all, so I'm having a problem with the letter from the bank. The instructions for the affidavit of support clearly state that the letter from the bank needs to include the total amount of money deposited into the account for the past year. A few weeks ago I received a letter from the bank with everything BUT the total amount deposited for the past year. So I went back to the bank and I told the VP that I need this. He said that LEGALLY the bank can only give me what I received, which were the average balance on account, the date account was opened, and present day balance. I went back with a printed copy of the instructions and gave it to him so that he could see that it is written there explicitly.

He said that he would submit the instructions to the resources department, and he'll await a reply from them. He said that if they can't give me the total, the best they can do is give me statements for the past 12 months.

Has anybody had this problem? I bank with HSBC...

Thanks.

Are you trying to qualify from savings / money in the bank? as well as income ?

Because if you qualify for the 125% on income by itself you don't need to provide any bank info at all what so ever...

If you have a co-sponsor because you don't meet the 125% you also don't need to provide any bank info what so ever.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

My yearly income is way above the poverty line. So I should be fine? I'm just trying to cross my t's and dot my i's. Want to be super prepared by following their instructions to the letter. That is all.

Just get a copy of the last 12 months monthly statements and highlight the deposits. But also note the post above.

I'll just do that if they can't provide the total. Thanks.

You are fine - we did not include ANY bank info and were qualifying on income alone. They didn't even ask about bank info and didn't even say anything about not filling the bank info lines on the forms.

If you look at the example form it even shows someone above the guideline with the income and no bank information.
