Hi,

So my husband and I have been wondering when the heck his work authorization would come, and a while back we got a receipt number for the green card, and in our mistake we thought that number was for his work auth and the green card, but the lady told mu husband that we need a receipt number for the work authorization, but we only got the one.

How do we get our for the work authorization?

Okay, so you only got (1) NOA1? Did you apply for AP? Get a NOA1 for that?

First, call again and get a Tier 2 officer on the line and ask the deal... the REAL deal. Who knows what Tier 1 people say... everything could be fine.

Then, if it is determined that your application for EAD got lost, apply again, for free, by attaching a copy of your NOA1 for the I-485. Then request expedite on it based on USCIS error (I think they will self-expedite, but doesn't hurt to ask as well). That's all you can do, unfortunately.

ETA for the above: The EAD application is at NBC, not CSC, so no backlog issue.
