Hi,

My wife received her combo card for EAD and AP just a few weeks ago. I was wondering how long it usually takes to get her green card? Also will there be an interview for it?

Hi,

My wife received her combo card for EAD and AP just a few weeks ago. I was wondering how long it usually takes to get her green card? Also will there be an interview for it?

It usually takes a month or 2, if her case was transfer to CSC there's no interview, But everyone have different cases, just wait in 1 - 2 months. Im sure she will receive her Welcome letter and GC soon.

My green card arrived 22 days after I received my EAD card.

2-01-2011 > Mailed 129F

02-09-2011 > NOA1 email & SMS notification

02-12-2011 > NOA1 hardcopy received via mail (official date on NOA1 is 02-07-11)

05-17-2011 > NOA2 email & SMS notification (approved in 99 days from NOA1 date)

06-06-2011 > Got MNL case number

06-08-2011 > Paid Visa fee @ BPI bank (scheduled interview appointment online the same day)

06-13 & 14-2011 > 2-day medical exam

07-08-2011 > Received Letter of Eligibility

08-02-2011 > USEM Interview (rescheduled from July 18) - APPROVED!

08-11-2011 > Visa issued (accdg. to USEM email inquiry; 9 days from interview date)

08-15-2011 > 2go site showed Visa is already in transit

I received the notice for my interview a few days before I got the email saying that my EAD has been approved. My interview is March 6th which is about a month after my EAD was approved........I have a timeline in my signature. I'm not sure how long people usually wait when their case gets transferred to CSC though, can sometimes be longer and sometimes it can get sent from CSC back to the local office for interview.

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013

My wife's case was transferred to CSC back on December 28th. It sounds like according to a few people that there probably will be no interview and the green card will be approved and just sent to us. I am assuming then it will only be a 2 year card then is that correct?

Yes. If you are adjusting off a K-1 a 2-year card is the only option.
