hi everybody, maybe these are stupid question but we're lost about the case...after having everything apparently done...

we're just pissed...

according of where we were living at the time of sending the package (september 2005) (AOS,EAD,ETC) we sent it to the "Nebraska Service Center"...then we moved out to Texas, we told them about our change of address, a few months later ,we've got the fingerprints, biometrics and interview in "Dallas"...

question n 1: is our case suppossed to be in Texas Service Center ? or is it in Nebraska yet? how can we know about this?

we 're planning to write them a letter to know what the h... is going on, our case looks like "lost in space"...After the fingerprints and interview in July 2006 we were told we were approved...not FBI checking...everything was just ok and done...2 and half months later we are still waiting for the notice of approval...

question n2: do we really need this or it's not necesary since we were told we were approved?????

....still waiting for the welcome letter, the GC and also waiting for the EAD...if they send it... we say this because we've got the biometrics for the EAD 2 months after the interview...the EAD was touhced in sept 21th 2006...but this happenned days before the biometric appointment and it still looks the same...not touched anymore...

The "online status" for the AOS and EAD look the same yet..." we've got your applicattion on september 2005...when we decided...bla bla bla..." we would say they had been touched "first time" a couple of days ago...but ...before this

they'd "forgotten" the fingerprints ..they were not in the system...we knew about this when we called them a few days ago and it was the only :ranting: answer.. we've got about the case...

question 3: could this be the reason of this eternal waiting?????? and

what the h... are they doing if there is "nothing" to check anymore????????

we mean...since we didnt' have a pending name or background by the FBI and we were told we were approved 2 and half months ago?

please any opinions or anything you all could say to advice us and help us to understand this :ranting:

thanks

InfoPASS.

They do not schedule infterviews without immigration file - they have to go through all forms and verify. Did they do that during your interview?

Additionally - did you get stamp in your passport? Was your I94 taken away?

Sorry, I am kinda confused.

You filed AOS? How did you get your fingerprints and interview when you sent it to Nebraska?

Wasn't it suppose to go to Chicago?

yes we did file AOS, we sent it to Nebraska before we moved out ,also before we moved out we've got the fingerprints and AOS appointments, right after we moved out (a couple of weeks before the expiration date for the apponitments) we called the USCIS and we were told to sent the forms for the change of address and the appointments back to Nebraska to reschedule the apponitments...(here is where we've got lost...we dont' know if Nebraska sent the information somewhere else (Chicago, Dallas, etc????)to get the new appointments for us) then a few months later we've got the "new" fingerprints and interview appointments in Dallas.

we saw the lady checking the files on the computer...we dont' know if she was or not really going through or checking all forms or verifying...(now we think that maybe if she was going through all forms she could have known about the figerprints ) she just said ok everything is right and you are approved and getting your GC in a few weeks...

she didn't stamp the passport, when we asked her about it she said, it's not necesary...since you are approved and getting your GC in a few weeks...

and the I94 was taken away...she said it was expired (it really was) and was going to sent it back together with the GC, we even didn't complain about it and we didnt' ask why she wanted to keep it, the fact that we were told we were approved and getting the GC was enought for us...now we realize that we might have done a mistake trusting so much...

Nemu, why you are asking about the passport and I94 ? do you know what this means about the case?

thank you.

ok thanks about the clearup for our first answer.

About the FBI, if we were going to be part of the FBI namecheck pending, we were not told about it :o , once the interview was done The lady told us everything is right, congratulations you are approved and getting the GC in a few weeks...

did they tell you or are they suppossed to tell you about the FBI namecheck pending during or after the interview? if not... how do you know that you are or that you are still being checked?

thanks.

If you were told you were approved and you were to get the GC in a few weeks, then obviously you are not in FBI namechecks. Make an infopass appointment NOW and get this resolved ASAP.

I think what Stina is telling you is the AOS was supposed to be originally sent to the lockbox in Chicago(which is in the instructions on the AOS application), not Nebraska. That might be some of the hold up...just speculating.
