YEP!!! Sometimes an RFE is good news! :thumbs: Ummm... CONGRATULATIONS!!! :dance::dance::dance:

Good luck on a much speedier rest of your journey! Good to know your file does indeed still exist! :D

  • July 16, 2006 Met in person on her birthday in United Arab Emirates
  • August 4, 2006 sent certified mail I-129F packet Neb SC
  • August 9, 2006 NOA1
  • August 21, 2006 received NOA1 in mail
  • October 4, 5, 7, 13 & 17 2006 Touches! 50 day address change... Yes Judith is beautiful, quit staring at her passport photo and approve us!!! Shaming works! LOL
  • October 13, 2006 NOA2! November 2, 2006 NOA2? Huh? NVC already processed and sent us on to Abu Dhabi Consulate!
  • February 12, 2007 Abu Dhabi Interview SUCCESS!!! February 14 Visa in hand!
  • March 6, 2007 she is here!
  • MARCH 14, 2007 WE ARE MARRIED!!!
  • May 5, 2007 Sent AOS/EAD packet
  • May 11, 2007 NOA1 AOS/EAD
  • June 7, 2007 Biometrics appointment
  • June 8, 2007 first post biometrics touch, June 11, next touch...
  • August 1, 2007 AOS Interview! APPROVED!! EAD APPROVED TOO...
  • August 6, 2007 EAD card and Welcome Letter received!
  • August 13, 2007 GREEN CARD received!!! 375 days since mailing the I-129F!

    Remove Conditions:

  • May 1, 2009 first day to file
  • May 9, 2009 mailed I-751 to USCIS CS

Thanks all for the replys..........yes indeed, that was my biggest fear......the file was lost!!!!!! There has got to be in the neighborhood of 25,000 to 50,000 visa applications at the CSC......not just fiancee either.....ie work related etc.........what worker would want to look under that pile of papers for just another application!!!!!!

I just received a pm from E&K.......they are now waiting for their RFE in Mexico Together!!!!!! I told her to stay on top of her Congressional aid. I am now totally convinced that this was the key in my case.

I just checked my status today and I was touched today again!!!!! So now, I have been touched before the sending out of the RFE, during the Sending out of the RFE and now after the sending out of the RFE.

I haven't received the hard copy RFE yet but I will keep everyone posted on developments.

I haven't seen myself run to the mailbox every day like this since I was a kid waiting for that birthday card with money from Aunt Mary in it!!!!!!!! :blush:

I received a reply from my gal in Russia......needless to say, she was equally ecstatic of this news!!!! It has been 7 months since we have seen any ray of hope during this process. We thank God for helping us.

I hope my info helps others still waiting for their RFE or approval.

Thanks for the reply........I am inching forward again....now let's all put our prayers and attention to E&K....they have been waiting longer than me!!!!!!

And I read that you live 40 miles from the CSC.......ever get tempted to take a drive and pay them a visit?????? This would have crossed my mind after 120 days of waiting.......today is day 188!!!!!!!

We FINALLY got the soo much awaited RFE e-mail too!!!!!! :dance::dance: B) :dance::star:

Mike, thank you soo much for being so persistent (L) , we also called and tried different things, but I'm sure your efforts helped us at some point too :yes: I am convinced now that our files were in the same lost pile at CSC.

I also want to thank all the other VJ members- KitKat, TucsonBill, Michelle... (F) who gave us tips and encouragement words during all this waiting, it really helped us a lot :yes: Thank you guys!!!! (L)

We are definitely celebrating today!!! I never thought I would be so happy to get an RFE, but I was soo happy when I saw the e-mail that I cried!

I know there's still some more waiting, but I don't think it will take another 209 days to finally get the visa :unsure:
