Waiting (and waiting...) for Green Card

Well, here we are again... thanks for any assistance, as usual !!

Fatima and I had our AOS interview on January 18th, and she was approved for her 2-year Green Card ! YAY !!

The Immigration Officer said that a letter would come in the mail in about three days, and then the Green Card itself about a week after that. He took her EAP and AP card (which she had received only a month before that).

Since then, NOTHING has come in the mail, and we are wondering what the heck is going on??? Is this kind of wait time typical? Who should we call to inquire further?

Thanks so much for your comments...

Doug B

Has she received mail at this address before? You may need to go to the post office and make certain her name is associated with that address--I know the USPS website states they deliver all properly addessed mail, but that is a bunch of BS. After making sure the postoffice will deliver mail addressed to her at that address, call the USCIS and ask for them to track the GC as they now use a trackable method of mailing it. If that does not work make an INFORPASS appointment to see where the GC is. IT took three days for my wife to receive hers after the interview. We did have some issues with mail being returned before that.

Good luck and I hope it arrives soon,

Dave

Thanks for the info -- any more specifics on the right number to call to track the GC, or the INFORPASS process? We have received USCIS mail at our address before...
