i-130, i-485, i-765 fees

I just want to make sure this is correct. My Canadian wife is here in the US and married to me and we are seeking adjustment of status. I make checks for the following amounts, right?

I-130 $420

I-485 $1070 (total of fee + biometrics)

I-765 $380

That's it?

Do I write a separate check for each?

12/24/2010 I proposed. She accepted and stayed.

02/25/2011 Married!

03/19/2012 FINALLY submitted the AOS paperwork: I-130, I-485, I-765, etc.

03/23/2012 Received notification that USCIS has received everything.

03/26/2012 Biometrics Appointment Notice: April 23, 2012.

04/02/2012 NOA's received. Now we wait...

04/23/2012 Biometrics completed.

05/18/2012 EAD card mailed but not yet received.

06/06/2012 Rough interview but we think we're approved! Website says i485 status "Card Production".

06/12/2012 We received the "Welcome the United States" letters! Website says Green Card was mailed.

LIMBO: Green card lost in mail. Facing the possibility of paying hundreds in fees and basically repeating the entire process.

All good now! USPS lost it, then found it.

04/24/14 Back to VJ to get help with I-751, Removal of Conditions.

05/31/14 Mailed I-751 finally, with less than a week to deadline!

06/02/14 NOA1 (that was fast!)

07/01/14 Biometrics

7/25/14 Approved for Removal of Conditions

You do not pay for the 765 as i have told you in your other question.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

When u r filing form i-485 with form i-765....u get i-765 free so u would just be payin for i-130&i-485 so ur cost would b $1,490....an it does matter how u seperate it as long as its d right amount in with ur papers...

A check for $420 attached to the I-130 and a check for $1070 attached to the I-485 will be correct.

Technically, the fee for the I-765 and I-131 were added to the I-485 fee in the price increase of 2007 so you are still paying for them even if you do not apply for them.

And I can imagine! When it comes to immigration and AOE applications, you really can never be too careful. Questions that seem obvious and stupid may end up getting a completely different answer than you'd expect!
