Form DS-230 expiration

Hi all, I wanted to ask about the expiration date on the currently available DS-230 form which is 02/29/2012. What does this mean? I'm getting my NVC packages together now, but I haven't received my NOA2 yet. We'll be hitting our 5-month mark on Feb 22. If my husband sends me this form nowadays but we don't send the forms to NVC until after that date (most likely thing to occur), what happens? Will we be required to have a new, non-expired form filled out if after the 29th? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Meno-is-mine----use the soon to expire form cause you will be done with NVC by the time it expires!!!

But, just in case--- NVC will allow you to use expired forms---UNLESS they printed a new one. so check very closely and make sure they did not come out with a new one. But until it expires they will accept it. and sometimes they let us use expired ones until they make new one.

hmm, well, i check the DOS site today if there was a more recent one available, but it was the same one... i would think that if this one was expiring at the end of the month, they'd have a new one available NOW...

How dare you! The government is very busy. They do not have time to update the forms you need.

Don't you know EVERYONE in the Government is busy looking at my husbands AP so I will stop calling them!

They will update it and then it screws alot of people up cause they will do it within days of the old one and then make people redo the forms and give them RFE's

But they will say it is ok to use an expired form if they do not have a new one printed yet.

LOL, nah, i usually have a similar sense of humor, but understandably, this immigration stuff tends to be a sore and sensitive subject for me in general... i unload here on VJ the most... no worries

As of March 4, 2012 the DS-230 form available from the US Department of State website still has an expiration date of February 29, 2012.

If they do update it soon I hope there are no actual changes to the form because my wife has already signed hers and we are just entering the NVC phase this month. I would imagine there is a grace period for accepting the old form, especially since they haven't released a new version before the old one expired.

Okay so essentially if I use this form 3 months from now it will still be valid?
