believe me I reserached and one way tickets are ridiculously expesive. Just look for a very cheap round trip ticket and choose date far in advance thay nmay work in case you need to use the return leg. if you dnt use it no problem.

09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

N-400: (3 months and 12 days)
Filed N-400 : 2011-06-17
Interview: 2011-09-27
Oath Ceremony: 2011-09-30

IR-5 for Mom Entire process took 5 months exactly
USCIS (22days)
mailed I-130 : 2011-09-30
NOA 1: 2011-10-03 (text & email)
NOA 2: 2011-10-25 (text and email)
NVC: (19 days)
Case entered and # assigned: 2011-11-18
NVC Case COMPLETED: 2011-12-07 ( 43 days from NOA 2 and 65 days from NOA 1)
Interview Date(Lagos): 2012-01- 23 Mom was late for interview
New Interview date: 2012-02-29 : VISA APPROVED

I usually compare prices on Kayak and Vayama and work from there. Price both round trip and one way. If RT is cheaper then cancel the return portion ( failure to do so once cause a K1er to get denied because the airline showed him leaving before AOS ) Sometimes if the USC pays the airline will want you to clear the credit card usage.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

most times roundtrip tickets are cheaper than one way...Good luck!

not true about round trip tickets.. call delta directly and buy a one way ticket.. its cheaper that way.. i paid $900.00 in dec for my wifes one way ticket from nigeria to usa

Nov 9th 2010 Petition received at California Service Center

May 4th 2011 Received petition Approval letter

May 12th 2011 Received Letter from NVC stating info has been forwarded to Lagos consulate office

July 14th 2011 Received Fiancé Visa packet and interview date (via email)

Sept 20th 2011 Interview day! Visa not approved.. Requesting more proof :-(

Sept 28th 2011 Second interview scheduled for early December :-)

Dec 5th 2011 Interview rescheduled consulate office caught fire :-(

Dec 6th 2011 Visa APPROVED!!!! :-D

Hi Ayomide 1 go to www.qatarairways.com their one way is very cheap, i arrive in the U S a week today and i use qatar airways and they will put you in a hotel to connect you to the U S flight the next day because you will get to Doha in the night and you have to sleep over and all that is free. Right now its just $847.95 USD one way can you beat that try that airline there are very good.

I will call Delta too and see whats up

I agree with everyone's comments, round trip is much cheaper. Once you enter the US cancel the return ticket before the return date.

Is it possible to buy a RT ticket from here and use just the return if i find it cheaper
