the other day someone answered the question: what are touches and how do you find out if your petition has been touched @ uscis? I can't seem to find where I found it so if someone could answer that for me again would really appreciate it.

05/07/2013-Received Green Card!!!!

register for an account and you will be able to add the receipt number from your noa1 to your profile, then you can check the updates anytime you want. If the date updated has changed that is considered a "touch"

29 DEC 2011: I-129F sent

12 JAN 2012: NOA1 via E-mail

17 JAN 2012: Mil. Expedite Request Sent to CSC

19 JAN 2012: NOA1 Hard Copy

25 JAN 2012: Call USCIS to ask if file is at CSC yet, was informed of an email requesting documents that I never received

25 JAN 2012: Response for 'Typographical Error' in the email from the 20th(no wonder I didnt get it)

25 JAN 2012: Documents requested sent back to Case Officer

30 JAN 2012: NOA2 Hard Copy Via Snail Mail

30 JAN 2012: I-129F Packet Arrives

31 JAN 2012: Case forwarded to Embassy

This is correct. Touches don't mean your petition is making any progress. Just means someone literally touched it. I never touched and I was approved in about 5 weeks.

Absolutely. We didn't receive a touch until the day our petition was approved.
