you gotta keep calling civil surgeons until you find one willing to do just what you need. i believe there might be a thread somewhere on VJ listing some

you shouldnt need another medical then and depending on your vaccination sheet you might actually be ready for AOS right now

I'm exactly in the same boat!

May I ask why are you so adamant about doing another medical? Did they tell you at the POE? I think according to the instructions on I 485, if your medical was done within the past year (which your's was) then you don't need to fill out I 693.

Can someone please elaborate on this?

if your medical was completed within the past 12 month and your vaccinations are all completed then you only really need to include a copy of DS-3025 with your AOS package. if your vaccinations arent completed then you need to get them done and then get a civil surgeon to transcribe them on to the I-693.

Here's what the I-693 instructions say.

Even if a new medical examination is not required, you still must show proof that you complied with the vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS-3025) was not properly completed and included as part of the original overseas medical examination report, you will have to have the vaccination report completed by a designated civil surgeon.

the problem is that some civil surgeons in the US insist on you completing a full medical to make more money but that really isnt required.

heres what i did thanks so much for your quick replies that help me alot. :) after i read everyones comments and advice, i decided to check out some other civil surgeons in our place and did some inquiries about their processing and all that. i've asked two other civil surgeons and both are accepted my previous medical. although both their clinics are a little bit far from our place, i rather take it than to pay 400-500dollar(the asking price)for another medical. yup some doctors want to make more money.
