Hi everyone,

As some of you may know if you have read my previous post I was refused entry from the US not too long ago because I couldn't prove enough ties to my home country to visit under the VWP for 83 days. The officer that dealt with me was extremely flirtatious saying that I should "marry an immigration officer because I would have no trouble then" and saying that I would have "way more fun with him" than my boyfriend. Well I thought that this was probably something that they weren't allowed to do but just wanted to move on with what I was going to do next....today I received an email from this immigration officer saying that he hoped I arrived safely and he hadn't been able to stop thinking about me since I left. I'm not entirely sure where he got my email from but you do have to put it on the form when you enter and I did have to write it down about 2 other times when they were processing me. I have told my boyfriend and he's quite angry about the whole situation and he wants to do something about it, probably going down to the airport and making a complaint. I'm just wondering if anyone has been through a similar experience and if you have, did you take action?, did anything happen? I'm just a little bit worried about the fact that I complained making visits to the US more difficult in the future....But on the other hand I don't think any immigration officer or anyone who has such authority should be allowed to talk to anyone the way that he talked to me surely it's important to just do your job....

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I've never heard of that, but it sounds way out of line to me. Wow

My boyfriend called the Immigration office at the airport and talked to the chief immigration officer who said that this definitely shouldn't happened. He took down my boyfriends information and also gave my boyfriend his phone number and said that he should hear something on Monday.

Oh my god! That is horrible. Here is the place to complain to CBP - I recommend you make an official complaint straight away! https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/175/~/complaint-of-rude-and-unprofessional-treatment

Edit: Oh, beat me to it ;)

I also do have the emails saved if they want to take a look at them. The only thing that I have said to him is that I was unhappy with what happened and that we shouldn't stay in contact under any circumstances because I'm sure his job wouldn't appreciate him using the immigration office to get a girls contact info.

I am sure he is! That is pretty dreadful behavior on the part of that "officer". I'd be interested to hear the outcome as well.

That doesn't even work for me so I'm guessing no! By the way your signature is hilarious, I got refused at Atlanta. Never again will I enter through Atlanta!

Sorry, not sure what happened there, try this - http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/customerservice/pledge_travel.xml

It's funny, as I read this thread I thought, "bet it's Atlanta", I did have a chuckle..... sorry.

My signature is a quote from Officer Washington in Atlanta CBP secondary, I won't be going that way again either, no chance

No worries, I had a chuckle at your quote :P. Yes I definitely will not be going through there under any circumstances, I've had some pretty mean officers at Chicago as well.
