Ok my problem here is my wife was recently called to US visa embassy with her passport. Before her everything was cleared; her background, our marriage, application form and every other things. So when she was called with her passport we thought she might just got the visa. Well after she left her passport in US embassy they told her to come back after 5 days. Well when she went back after 5 days they told her medical was expired and she had to do it again and they also gave her a DS-230 application form and told her to fill it up and bring it as soon as possible. Well now my question is what just happened, I mean why the DS-230 form again, I get the expired medical part but the application process again.

It would be really helpful if some can tell me want to expect now. If anyone who has face this problem could tell me what exactly this means. It would be a real help.

Thank You

Moved from Off Topic to IR-1/CR-1 Process & Procedures. OP's wife is seeking a spousal visa and the questions the OP is asking are related to that process.

Dear BDMC, can you please fill out the timeline as this helps others to answer more reasonably based on your current situation? For example I am assuming you are applying for your wife's immigrant visa and she is done with her interview already. These are assumptions; however if you had a timeline I would not need to make any.

To answer your question I don't think there is any reason for them to ask to fill out. DS 230 again, however, it may happened that it was damaged or lost. Good thing is it is not a difficult one. If you are the petitioner (assuming) and kept a copy of your docs, either fill out one an send it to her ASAP, or scan and send it to her via email. Postal mail would be expensive but can reach bd in less than 5 days.

My suggestion would be to fill out the form (either you or your wife) the same way it was filled earlier with identical information and submit to Dhaka embassy. You are at the end part of the process an there is no reason for you to make it any more complicated and get delayed further. Forget about the standard rules and usual process. I don't find it too alarming in any way. However others may view it differently.

Good luck and best wishes for you and your wife

The DS-230 has some timeliness on it, as well as the medical exam and police clearance certificate.

So, if it's been more than 1 year from NVC submittal to this last visit to the IV unit,

then it's time to get busy with updated forms and documents.

Sorry.
