Hi,

I have a question about contacting the Congressman in a state, I live in Kentucky and when I search about Congressman

I got 5 Congressman results from Kentucky, so which one I should contact regarding USCIS matters?

There are 2 Senators and 6 Representative listed for Kentucky.

Thanks for your help.

Read about them and see which one you think will be able to work with immigration best on your behalf. I chose my rep that is huge into immigration policies etc and they haven't let me down. All they can do really is make inquiries on your behalf but each month that's what they do and let me know what they received in reply from the embassy.

Try this...

But still read their bio thoroughly.. as some reps aren't as good as others because some don't think immigration issues as important as others do... so you have your choice of senator or congressman...

That is very true, some are for and some don't care much about it. I agree to research the best one to help!

i say contact all of them.

Yes, you heard me - all.

but - sorry, forgot - 'all' is not available for you.

Sure, the 2 senators, but it's only 1 US Representative, the one homed to your district/region.

So, that's 3, not all ;)

But - do call these 3, and ask to speak to the immigration liason staffer.

Once you get that person, ASK them how many months and years they have been doing the IL work there for that congresman.

Suggest you choose one that's been doing this type of work for more than 6 months..

Do note, you'll never need to speak directly with the Congressman- only the Immigration Liason Staffer, a human in the Congressman's office.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Though hopefully not one who has been doing it for so long that they no longer care. One of my Senator's ILS blew me off because she's been doing this for 17 years and it is totally normal for it to take 6.. 7.. 8.. <insert number> months! :P
