Not even the Affidavit of Support?

The latest version of the I-864 doesn't call for it to be notorized and we never got it notorized ... And I asked the same question on VJ when I was filing and was told that the new form do not require it ....

Milka, just be save and still notarize the affidavit. It triggered lots of RFE's for people who used the new forms. Just in case!

Viel Glück!

If you want to get the affadavit notarized you can but we didn't go through the hastle and our case was transferred and approved in two and a half months! We had no problems at all. The most important thing is your tax returns copies, employment letter, and maybe throw in a few pay stubs and w2's. The evidence of financial support is a big deal in the AOS process. I don't know anything about AP but I don't think anything needs to be notarized! Good luck!!

My husband was also wondering if your screen name comes from the Milka chocolate?? He is from east Germany and he loves that stuff...we even have some sitting next to us on the desk and he was just curious! :D

You don't have to get the I-864 notarized. The old forms required it (even had a space for it) but the new ones just require a signature and have a statement that says by signing the form you promise you are telling the truth and that if you're lying you're in a big heap of trouble (not exactly worded like that, but that's basically what is says :) )

Nothing else is required to be notarized as well.

I just sent off AOS, AP, and EAD and had nothing notarized. I mean it doesn't say to and doesn't leave a space for it so an RFE for that would suck.
