The USCIS maintains a local office in Las Vegas, NV. Your USCIS Service Center is likely California (CSC).

The US citizen sends the I-129F petition to the Texas address listed at the USCIS website.

Save yourself some time. :hehe: Send it to the CSC (California Service Center). The Texas lockbox office is just going to send it to the nearest service center which will be Cali. I sent mine to TX only for them to receive it and forward it to VSC (Vermont Service Center) I'm in North Carolina. Good luck on your journey! :hehe:

I am not sure if that is good advice. The instructions on the USCIS website, clearly indicate that the US Citizen needs to send it to the Texas lockbox office. You may save time, or you may have more time added, or have your petition lost in the bureaucracy at USCIS.

Of course, you can do what you want, but it is their ballgame, and their rules.... ;)

YMMV,

I agree ... the USCIS instructions say send it to the Dallas Lockbox facility.

They must have their reasons. But I'd follow their instructions to the letter

to avoid any delays.

this is contrary to the instructions. just because you did it contrary to instructions does not mean it will also work for the op.
