Just got the I-797 , notice of action.

priority date, july 5, 2011

notice date dec 28, 2011

says...

notice type.. approval notice ... husband or wife of us citizen

" the above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the DEPARTMENT OF STATE NATION VISA CENTER (NVC),

Nvc processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action, It also determines which consular post is the apprpriate consulate to complete visa processing. NVC will then forward the approved petition to that consulate.

The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning (beneficiary) concerning further immigrant visa processing steps.

You should allow a minimum of 30 days for department of state processing before contacting the NVC. If you have not received any correspondence from the NVC within 30 days, you may contact the nvc by email..............

the rest is pretty general about not being a visa...bla bla bla

Now my question is.... is there anything i can do right now besides sit waiting?? i think i read somewhere about being able to contact them and getting some sort of number from them???

and also will they actually contact my husb in jordan now????? i thought they contacted me???

so far we only filed the I-130
