last week i got the AOS interview appointment letter ,its on november 10th and i recieved this before EAD i know i will get the green card and i wont need EAD but my question is will they still send me EAD anyway ?

i will get it too?or they will forget it about it because i will have my GC ?thanks so much for your help.

Hi FLgators,

You can not be sure just because you have an interview that you will get the “GC”, because even if you are approved maybe your FBI name check has not been done or finished. If you do get approved and everything is finished and you get the “GC” then you would not need the EAD. But a lot of things can happen like they are happening to some VJ members like not getting “GC”, “GC” with incorrect information (which takes a long time to get back), and many other problems. Hopefully none of these things happen to you.

keep your fingers crossed., i applied for my AOS + EAD + Travel docs in june, i had a NOA for june 23rd., 90 days have elapsed, i have nothing... i had my interview on 9/13/2006, i was told that my background check hadnt been completed., all my applications were still intact... meaning they did not sepereate my apps and start processing them in june., they send my entire file to the sub office (Santa - ana), my case is slightly more complicated, because i had a previous marriage and aos which i withdrew (fell back on f1 which was out of status 1 semester i took 2 classes isntead of 4) and i had been in removal proceedings (which were terminated)., my case is a total mess., however i am currently In status, of F1, i had been reinstated..........

on 9/26/2006 i went to santa ana, to get an intrim work doc, i didnt know they dont give them anymore at the office, only the csc and nbs processes them now.... they said that my file was somewhere in santa ana., meaning 90 days., still havnt started processing my travel docs nor my work permit., i drove to la who told me that santa ana is sending them to the nbc for adj... fun stuff., btw 9/27/2006, and also 9/28/2006 my work + travl were touched....

anyway, my point is., take everything that you can., even if they mail you a half work permit (dog ate the rest) TAKE IT!!!!

They will not issue you an EAD after GC if your AOS interview is successful. They may issue you an EAD prior to your interview.
