Hmmm, I dont see this applying toward K-1 applications, but DHS has been complaining that USCIS is too lax with the visa approval process.

Is a backlash now occurring?

Yes, it seems targeted toward non-immigrant Visas. With the report leaked it may create an over-reaction and backlash toward K-1 applicants

Ya.. It makes me wonder if they are talking about two different classes of non-immigrant visas? DHS suggests that the lax attitude was mostly toward business visas, and the attorney seems to be talking about K-1 type visa's (although both parties are rather vague) .

Or is the attorney indicating that a backlash is starting to occur due to the report, and thats the reason for all the denials and RFE's?
