First of all. I'm happy that I made it here and that I am now with my fiance. HOWEVER, I CANNOT FIND MY PASSPORT! I know it's really stupid of me. I keep on :bonk: myself because of it. I don't have any memory of what happened to it after the customs thing. I looked everywhere! :( Anyway, what I wanna know is what should I do?? Do I need it for the AOS? Would the lost visa affect my application of AOS and social security? of getting married?

HELP MEEEEEE! PLEEEEEASE!!! :crying: :crying: :crying:

Welcome to the U.S. :star:

Your passport will turn up.

Check in every part of your baggage and in all of your clothes.

Then scour the car.

Then check with the airport's lost and found, and with the customs people too.

First of all; do you have a copy of your passport and K1 visa? If you haven't seen it since POE I'd suggest calling that specific airport and inquire about it. Maybe you handed it over with the sealed envelope and forgot.

You DO need the I-94 for AOS(a copy when filing the AOS) as well as a copy of the K1 visa in passport(I was paranoid and took pictures of everything 2 minutes after receiving visa and later on the i-94). At the interview they will need to see your passport and the i-94.

In any way, if your passport is lost, report it and try to get a new one at your consulate. Then file for a new I-94: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-102instr.pdf - keep the police report. But before then, look everywhere for it, track your arrival day down. Any place you were that day I'd suggest calling and asking about it since it expensive to replace both I-94 and passport.

Lots of good luck! :)

If your passport is really lost, I think I would follow moomin's advice. You need to get busy working on replacing it. You can also replace the I-94 by going to moomin's link. I don't know how you replace the visa, but I can't think of where Chinook needed it after she arrived in the U.S. Maybe she needed to send a copy of it in with her AOS packet.

I wouldn't worry about the CFO sticker because you won't need it for anything.

2 posts up it says they found it  I'm really happy for them, it's a bunch load of money to replace those documents, and the worries along with it.
