Hello, i have a question. I have this scenario, my wife is in the Philippines and i filled her a petition to get her in US and got approved, then suddenly she got a job in other country, and her petition papers came while she in the other country, what would be the case of that? And what should we need to do if that happens?

Any info would be very helpful.

Thank you so much,

Norman

1. You'd contact the consulate in the country she is working in to request your file from Manila embassy.

2. the consulate would contact Manila to get the file transferred over.

3. the wife would interview in the country she is working in - she'd probably have to do medical in that country, but obtain all required paperwork (police, marriage certificate) from PI.

My first opinion you may run into trouble at the interview explaining why you the "Petitioner" did not have the means to support her in the Philippines? Why she had to take a job outside the country while waiting for application package.

Make sure you cover your bases on this !!!

It will be up to the consulate in her new location whether or not to transfer the file. I know of one case where the applicant was working in Hong Kong, and had to go back to Manila to process her visa application.

Any interviewer would at least address the subject. I-134 Affidavit of support, the person is unable or unwilling to support someone now living aboard how can they support them once they arrive in the USA.

Why would any beneficiary relocate KNOWING their application is coming to a certain address.

I WOULD HAVE MY BASES COVERED - it may be questioned !!!!

Non-issue. Ignore this post.

Someone being (legally) employed is never a negative.

I stand by what I said, If I was an interviewer officer and see a beneficiary relocate to another country just prior to receiving her application package so she could support herself. I would question the Petitioner means in supporting her.

How can you say you have the means to support her - when she has to relocate our of the country for work.

ALL I SAID, This relocation for work to another country. COULD BE RED FLAGGED and QUESTIONED. Just have the answers.

The fact that the beneficiary has a job does not indicate that the petitioner does not have a job. If the petiontioner does not have a job they will need a co-sponser. The fact that the beneficiary has a job will have NO negative effect on petition or application.

I stand by what I said non-issue. Stop trying to scare OP. There is nothing wrong with what they want to do.

After she finished her contract in October, I bought her a plane ticket home to be with her daughter and family she has been supporting and away from for the past 4 years. I now support her and all her obligations since she has been home "WAITING" for her application to arrive.

My future wife is where she should be until the application arrives. THERE IS NO reason for her to relocate to another country to work, with her application in the mail..

SOMETHING JUST DOES NOT SOUND RIGHT - I would question the relocation at the interview if I was the officer processing the application.

AGAIN, just be prepared for that question if case it arises..

:ot:

Vacrimefighter your profile says you met your fiancee while she was working. I certainly hope it was a mutual decision for her to quit her job and leave UAE and that you didn't make her quit because of your paranoia.

:ot2:

OP if she is already working when you send the papers just include proof of her residency with a request the interview be in the 3rd country and they should automatically send it there.

:ot: Your just amazing person BEEJAY... :bonk:

And don't you feel like her savior. Glad she could be with her family.

I'm done derailing this thread. My apologies to the OP and I will reiterate that there is nothing wrong with what you are doing.
