hi dears my case complete in 20 jan 2011 (f2a) & due the regression im wait my interview coz my pd 22 oct 2009 & NVC send email say

"The applicant's name has been placed on the list of documentarily qualified cases awaiting the availability of visa numbers under the numerical limitations prescribed by statute. The designated representative of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will be notified of an appointment date as soon as the numbers have been received. The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa."

my question is if i have AP ( i dont hope that INSHALHA)that mean there is a possibility of rejection visa or AP just to document review

& why if anyone have approval from USCIS & his case complete & NVC send say The applicant's name has been placed on the list of documentarily qualified cases awaiting the availability of visa numbers & wait VB very month & then located in the trap AP why???????

AP is almost a sure thing if your from Egypt, pakistan, afghanistan etc... Basically from what im reading it says so far your qualified for the visa but you have to wait until you are in the new section of visas available. There are only a number of available visas each year for ppl coming to family that are not US citizens. The AP is a must considering you are coming from Egypt... There are only a few cases that do not get visas after AP due to things from their background coming back negative. If you have nothing in your background that would make you ineligible then think of it as just a procedure to make sure everything is accurate and good and then when your priority date comes current then your visa will be issued.

so anybody priority date comes current & in interview from Egypt, pakistan, afghanistan etc..

must get visas after AP even if his case complete IN nvc & have email say

The applicant's name has been placed on the list of documentarily qualified cases

i think if ur case complete & NVC send this mail that mean thy reviwe every thing but no availability of visa but when ur priority date comes current dont need for AP coz u already documentarily qualified cases & just wait ur interviwe i hope u corret my idea if im wrong

even if they approved u if u wait another year for the current priority date u have to expect them to run another background check on u before finally issuing the visa....maybe they wont but considering ur from one of the T countries they probably will

also if ur background check has anything that would make u ineligible then they will deny the visa instead

Everybody goes through AP, the issue is how long it will take, which is the unknown.

Sorry, we're all in the same boat. If you're a MENA male, AP is almost certain. If you're married, the odds are a lot higher.... thanks to shenanigans like this one: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/343560-need-help-on-my-sad-complicated-case/

I hope your AP is short and sweet!

Our AP cleared in 2 weeks. He got his visa exactly 3 weeks after the interview. I'm a K-1. There's a horrid rule of thumb: spouse visas are delayed and diluted because they cost less and the beneficiary receives a GC upons landing, not to mention, s/he can work right away. This too breaks my heart. It's so selfish! To that, add the criminals like the thread I posted. Of course, this is not everyone as each case is unique. I really do hope this goes fast and your husband gets home soon!

You know its a catch 22.. they don't want the beneficiary to use any govt assistance and yet they do long ap's because he wants to start working asap upon arrival after a couple of weeks looking for a job. He wants me to slow down and rest some as right now im a single parent in the sense my husband isn't here yet.. but bcos we chose this route instead of k3 or k1 we get scrutinized.. WE never ever minded the checks as we do think they should be done but at the same time 6 months with nothing is just heartbreaking...

Thanks.. i do hope we hear something within the next few weeks.. i can't imagine much longer without him.. the children have wrapped gifts for him and everything just waiting on him to come home.. :(

i think no proplem for government assistance & checks befor ur husband come to u (ISHAALLHA very soon)

but already when u come any govt assistance uses federal means tested public benefits, the sponsor is responsible for repaying the cost of the benefits

so thy make sure don't the beneficiary to use any govt assistance by soponsor

(we wouldn't need any assistance because my paycheck can cover us both) but i was just saying that he wants to work asap instead of sitting at home for 3 months waiting to file AOS.... but we are being held back because we filed cr1 instead of k3 (which don't seem to get as long AP)

It would be the same, if K3's were around any longer.

So all theoretical.

Hi, i had my interview for k1 visa at London embassy last October and i have been under AP since then, yesterday i called DOS and the lady told me that i should send my passport to the embassy, and she said that the consular section sent me an email requesting my passport 2 weeks ago ( although i checked my email and i haven't received nothing from them) i asked her if AP's cleared she said no, it's still pending but they need my passport!! what is that ??? and i asked her if my case is at the embassy or washington DC and she said embassy.

Anyway i've sent my passport thourgh royal mail and now i found out that i should've sent it through DX :(:(:(

what shall i do ? how i'm gonna receive my passport when the visa is issued?? do i have to call DX or the embassy??

if they are gonna issue me the visa then is it gonna be in a few weeks or it might take months again?

usually when London ask for passport do they issue visa right away or what ???

have anyone been through the same situation in the uk? please helppp i'm so anxious :(
