We were also approved on the spot at the interview, and the ISO gave us the letter about being approved and removal of conditions. We did receive an update after the interview that our 130 was in 'post decision activity' and our 485 was in 'decision'. I was also concerned because we never got the card production ordered status change (unless it happened so quickly that it never registered with the e-mail/text system). Sitting patiently over here hoping that the card comes within the next week...status has been on 'Decision' since the interview (Dec. 16th).

Thank you for your reply. But we didn't get any letter from that IO. He just congratulated us and told us to expect to get the green card in one month. We didn't file 130 just 485. Can I know why you filed 130? I don't think for k1 to AOS, 130 is needed if 485 filed within some certain time.

I was filing from a F-1 (not any K visa). I'm just in this forum because it's more active :)

But, the IO told us to expect the card in 3-4 weeks too!

this varies by officer, by officer's boss, by local office policies, and by the big computer itself.

Assume worst case scenario - that it's never updated and you receive the green card within 6 weeks.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Update...got this update this afternoon...

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Decision

On December 21, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

What are your thoughts?

Is this a standard message or case specific? Do we really need to wait for 60 days? The IO told us it would be one month. But based what I have seen here, the card is normally received in 2 weeks.

Get ER done.Congratulations.

Thanks. BTW, what does ER mean?

It's a generic message. Ours went to "decision" on Dec 6 and had my GC in hand on Dec 12 ;-)

'within' is not same meaning as 'after'.
