Here is the information that was received into Congressman Gutknecht's office. This was received from the California Service Center...

The I-130, WAC *** has been selected for detailed review which means it will take longer than normal processing time. If the U SCIS should discover information requiring verification, the petitioner will be contacted. We appreciate the constituent's assistance in helping us to ensure the integrity of our immigration system

Can anyone tell me why this is! How much longer do we have to wait? Please help us to understand this. :(

Detailed review can happen randomly or when something has alerted them to delve further into your petition. Unfortunately there is no way of telling how long this will take. I'm sorry this has happened but all you can do is wait.
