Hello Guys!!!

first of I want to say thank you for all the wonderful information that has been posted on this site!! it really has been very helpful!! I am currently in the process of gathering all my paperwork to bring my fiance to the US and my goal is to have it done in the next week :) but I had a question for you guys.. I was told yesterday that in order to qualify for this visa we had to have been dating for 2+ years.. But from everything I have read I thought we just had to have met in person at least once in the last 2 years (which is not a problem since we see each other every 3 months)

can you guys please clarify.. is it 2 years of dating or met in the met in person in the last 2 years??

Thank you guys!!!!!!

It is all about how stronger case you can make, as that will help CO to make decision. There is nothing minimum timeframe.

Yes, you have to have met once in last 2 years.

You could have met him 1 year and 9 months ago and never seen each other again (bad idea) but that is all the is requirement for meeting.

You do not have to date 2 years.

Never heard of such a requirement. Jenni and I only had evidence of a few months prior to submitting our petition for K-1 visa. If I recall correctly we just sent a few date stamped pictures of the two of us together with the petition and it was approved with no issues.
