I am now eligible to apply for Naturalization and I guess it's normal to have a feeling of apprehension. If ever I fail, can I re-apply right away? do I have to pay again?

Thanks in advance :)

It's near impossible to fail. But if you belong to the 1% who do, you have two more shots at the same money. Then you would have to reapply and pay again. I don't know if that ever happened in real life. If it happens to you, accept it as a sign from the gods.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Thank u so much for the quick response. I am just a kind of person that has plenty of "what if" so I will know of what to do when it happens. But your statement is very uplifting. Thank u once again.

Failing the civics or the English test? Get a second crack at those, can also be rejected for insufficient evidence, having two alien numbers whether your fault or not, may want proof you paid a 40 year old parking ticket, not wearing the correct cloths at your interview or other reasons I haven't even thought of yet.

Have to go by that old boyscout motto, be prepared. Not sure if the girl scouts also have that, they wouldn't let me join, heck, who want to camp out with a bunch of guys, girls are so much cuter.
