Our K1 journey has went very well. We filed for AOS July 6th 2006 in Buffalo NY. The biometeics was Aug 3rd and our interview was today Sept 26th. The interview was quick. We were sworn in, he looked at our passports asked very few questions. Simple questions, are we still at the same address, her mothers and fathers name, how many times had I been married, not an interrigation at all!! He then stated that our case was going to be approved pending the FBI name check and that the green card would be mailed to us. I assume that we have to wait for te FBI becuse we got through the system so quickly!!

My question being, see this is Buffalo NY and its getting cold out, I want to go to FL. Will someone have to sign for the Greencard? Is it forwardable?

The green card arrives in an unmarked plain white envelope by regular mail. No one will have to sign for it. It should arrive fairly soon - much sooner than the cold weather, even in Buffalo NY. When are you planning to go to Florida? You are required by regulations to carry the Green Card on your person so you really should wait until it arrives before you leave. It shouldn't take long.

You may want to add your information here. There's no telling how long it will be before this check is done. Could be days, weeks, months... years  . All the best. (F)
