How long should we wait for I130?

Hi, I am a newbie here. And I just wanna know about the processing times of the form I130. In our case status, it says that 5.5months. Going to be 6mo. this month..

Generally it takes max 5 month. Did you call to their department?

You can also call USCIS and ask them what month they are currently processing from to get an idea of the approximate status they are at.

wow.. 5 months? That's what I am expecting last month but we didn't hear any from USCIS. I told my hubby to call them but still no response, he said that he is wasting time to call them, only intercom answer his calls.

I just wonder are some months better than others to file. I am gettign ready Dec 21st it will be in the mail. And well its the holiday time and people taking vacation in government and I feel like it will fall into the great black hole of nothing. But I will pray and hope for a speedy return.
