Hey Guys,

I have a few questions that I have been trying to research but not much luck.

First I was told by numerous friends and family that when I file the I-130 - include everything like adjustment of status, I-864, additional money for the other forms fee's etc. Well, I didnt submit the I-864 or the AOS yet, and was wondering what to do?

I have my paycheck stubs printed out, I obtained medical, dental, and vision insurance for my wife and I for this year and also next year(Keep in mind she is still in Pakistan), My life insurance is over 300k, and now I have copies of all the prepaid money I pay for her prepaid phone, and I use calling cards to call her. (I don't save the calling cards. And also send her money through western union constantly.

I have a lawyer but I don't feel he is answering all of the questions I have and need to be answered, but people have told me send them everything at one time so the processing goes smoother and faster.

So I have all the Additional forms I need and ready to be sent out, printed out prepaid phone money confirmations, emails of the other way we communicate, medical coverages, etc.. Also found out that This dude from California (Officer DAO) is the person who assigned my case and also have his fax number. What should I do? And how should I proceed? They gave us a 5 month Processing period (January 2012) is the 5th Month. What would I expect? What should I do? What should I submit to process this smoother, easier and faster?

What other forms can I submit and to where and whom? I don't want to cut in front of the line from anyone (we all miss our significant others) but I need to get her home as quick as possible. Money is no issue but I need proper guidance and direction.

And one last very important thing I want to mention is that, is there any way I can bring her home (USA) while we wait for her I-130 being approved (still in pending status)? There must be some way to bring her home while this process is taking place??? Can I also go through another country say like Canada?

Thanks everyone

Akbar

Your numerous friends and family are incorrect. There is no adjustment of status when a CR-1 (or IR-1) visa holder enters the US, they are given a green card on arrival in the form of an I-551 stamp (the actual card arrives a short time later). The Affidavit of Support (which is what I will mean when I say AOS from here on out) forms, documentation, and fees are not submitted with an I-130. Those items are submitted to the NVC after they receive an approved petition from USCIS and your file has been assigned a case number by the NVC.

And one last very important thing I want to mention is that, is there any way I can bring her home (USA) while we wait for her I-130 being approved (still in pending status)? The answer to all of your questions here is no. She can apply for a tourist visa to the US, however, she would have to leave the US when her authorized stay expires, no exceptions. However, she should not waste time or money on applying for one, the chances of her being granted a tourist visa (especially being the beneficiary of a pending immigrant visa petition) are nil.
