Going through the example forms I see once I recieve documentation from my embassy you fill out allot of information about previous employment. Will my employer or x employer be contacted.

I will be quitting my job to move to the US. I don't want my employer to be aware of this until I have to tell them.

I do not know the regulation in your company. I personally already told my boss about my plan to resign from my job after I get visa on hand and he understood it. The main office aware about my plan and they are very supportive. The big bosses know my fiance is going to file I-129F, ask me if I needed some assistance. Again, depend how your company handle such things. Good luck.

It's unlikely that they contact your employer, unless there are some major red flags in your case. I have seen a couple of cases where the current employer was contacted to see if they were aware of the relationship, but that is usually in high fraud countries and unusual cases.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Read the question... The OP is asking IF her current or ex-emplorer will be contacted during the process.

The answer is, most likely not unless they have reason to suspect you were not being truthful about past/present employment. It is very rare for the Consulate to contact a beneficiary's employer.

Read the question... The OP is asking IF her current or ex-emplorer will be contacted during the process.

Understood very well. I am just saying, IF, she told the truth about her visa process to the employer, she doesn't have to worry whether the consulate will going to contact them or not during verification of the process. Like another poster said, unlikely consulate will contacted them unless it is high fraud countries or unusual cases.

Maybe the OP does not have as understanding an employer as you and is afraid that she'd be terminated if the employer knew she was planning to leave in the near future.

Here in the USA, some employers will terminate you immediately if you give notice that you will be leaving. Some employers feel an employee who has submitted notice will not perform their jobs as well as others who are not planning to leave.
