Once our CR-1 file reaches the embassy, is there something still to do?

Hi! :)

Once our CR-1 case is completed at NVC and our file is sent to the Embassy, is there something still to be done?

I know with the K-1 applicants need to send the affidavit of support etc papers to the embassy, but with CR-1 isn't that all done with the NVC?

So my question, are there any papers, documents, forms that need to be received from the embassy and sent back to them before the interview can happen? Medical needs to be done, but is there anything else?? We've heard about the package 3 and 4, but don't really know what they consist of and if they require something to be done?

There isn't anything else you will get from the embassy. All you need now is your medical. Work on putting together copies of EACH packet you have sent... your i130, i864, and your DS230... take those packets to the interview along with more proof of communication and relationship, emails chats letters cards gift receipts phone records skype, msn or yahoo details... and plenty of pictures showing over a time period of the two of you together along with other ppl, family friends and other places you were visiting.

(normally i wouldn't suggest taking those packets but at my husbands interview we sent everything and copied each packet... during his interview they wanted a specific paper and they couldnt locate it in our case file so my husband opened his and took it out and showed them so that saved yet another item we didnt have to resubmit after the interview)

Doesn't ever hurt to be over prepared with your docs at interview

Thats it... good luck!
