He met this Filipina girl on Cherry Blossoms and was really ready to go the next level on their relationship. He hasn't meet her in person yet, but his planning to go visit next year. If everything goes well, then he will start the process. His main concern is his planning on filing bankruptcy too. Will this move affect the immigration process when his girlfriend over?

As long as he can proof that he will be able to support his fiancee or future wife whatever you call her ( meaning he should have another kind of steady source of income), it would not affect the immigrations process, but do not qoute me in the court of law, it is only my opinion.
