You sent a lot of unnecessary stuff, but no matter.

Keep in mind that this is Thanksgiving week, and a lot of staff will be out. Can yout rack the money order and if so, has it been cashed? Did you provide a US mailing address for them to send paperwork to? If yes, you should get NOA1 within the next week or two.

Affidavit of support is not necessary at this stage. Just curious, what made you send that now? As the previous poster said, give them time as it is a holiday week. You should hear something soon. If you need any other help, please let me know, I have been through this twice, once for hubby and once for ex hubby, both from Pakistan.

Sorry to piggyback on this thread, but I've just started my journey and your discussion is applicable.

I just sent my I-130 to Chicago Lockbox on the 9th (Fedex) and saw delivery/signature on the 12th. Have seen no G-1145 notification and was curious, with the holiday season going on, should I expect a delay on notification and NOA1? Maybe I'm just anxious, but would appreciate any help. :)

12/12/11 - I-130 delivered
