I'm not quite sure if this should also be in the CR/IR Forum but it is directly based on my K1-Visa situation. Here's the sticky situation, I'm the beneficiary of a K1 Visa Petition which has been approved and am now awaiting an Interview date. Looking at the timeline however there's a possibility that I may have the job opportunity of a lifetime(interview leading to job offer,in my home country) in the time frame that I would be in the USA awaiting my AP & EAD. Would it be wiser to get an info-pass to expedite the AP so I can return home or just withdraw the K1-Visa Petition all together and start from scratch with the CR-1. The job in question would see me travelling back and forth to the USA daily/weekly if successful.

I am really at a crossroads here so any helpful advice is much appreciated.

I asked a similar questions months back. Many people warned me about pulling my fiances K1 visa and then him getting a work visa as it would look like he was trying to enter the country anyway possible! Not sure if that's true, but enough people said it, and it made sense to me, so I accepted it. We decided that once he's here, if the job is really a "big deal" if we are upfront with them about it - they might be willing to hold it for the three months it might take to get his EAD...we're going on the thought that it's just as hard for them to find a good match for their company as it is for us to find companies welike to work for...

Good luck on your choice!

Before you make any sudden moves about withdrawing your K1 pettition I would suggest that you attend the job interview first. See if you are presented with a suitable offer rather than just the perks of travelling to the United States.

If your status changes to Cr1 how would you keep your job in Jamaica and be a green card holder in the United States/
