Could anyone tell me what do I actually need to submit to satisfy the requirement that I can afford to sponsor my fiance

for K-1 and will not allow her to become a public charge?

I intend to submit a letter from my current employer of over 2yrs

which states my position, date of hire, full time status and current pay which exceeds required poverty level

Also I am retired and receive a lifetime annuity which also exceeds requirement and will include a copy

of my last tax return and all W-2s that show this.

I own my home and have no mortgage and list as "none" on I-134 and give it's value as I know it to be.

I will also include tax assessments for past year on my home and personal property which list their value as THEY know it to be.

As I already exceed poverty level as required both from annuity and current employment and own my home

free and clear is it satisfactory to just include a few bank statements showing

deposits over say one year?

Does this sound like I am in compliance for approval?

Anyone who has experience with this your advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Hey from the looks of things I've got lots of time to ask questions and LOTS of experience out there!

Since you are well over the 125% poverty level, then you do not need to list any assets or show bank statements at all. No need to list your home or provide papers proving its worth. Leave all the assets parts blank. You just need your tax returns and W-2s (or tax transcripts from the IRS), your employment letter and a few of your most recent pay stubs. That is it.

yes, and if you have no dependents (or paying alimony or child support) then uscis will definitely agree you can and will be able to support your fiancee. all of the docs you mentioned are exactly what will get you approved as far as ability to support. all you need to do is gather all docs you mentioned and all other requirements =)

I am so glad to hear i am on the right track for statement of support!

Good I do not have to send bank statements!

So I will just send a copy of my 2010 tax return with W-2s and letter from employer and pay stubs?

That is enough?

In general yes. You can still list assets as it provides an overall financial picture but your income is high enough so no need to back up assets with docs because with high income they wont vet the assets. It really comes down to current income and line 22 of most recent tax return. I would send the first page of the last 3 bank statements anyway because its easy to get and the embassy can ask to see anything they wish, its a good idea for fiance to have a complete copy of the k1.
