Hi all August F2A filers,

please join this thread! Given the current priority date movement, we are going to be waiting for a couple of more years, and it would make the wait a little bit easier to have some company here on VJ. It would also be interesting and useful to follow everyone's progress with their visa journey in this thread.

Speaking of progress, has anyone actually been approved yet? I seem to remember that in the spring California Service Center was approving F2A filers in 3-4 months, so if this is still the case, the first August filers should be getting approvals soon.

My F2A/IR-1 journey:

USCIS:
4 August 2011: I-130 sent (while husband permanent resident)
8 August 2011: Priority date
16 April 2013: NOA2

NVC:

7 May 2013: Case number received, DS-3032 sent

15 May 2013: AOS bill received and paid

16 May 2013: AOS package sent

17 May 2013: DS-3032 accepted

20 May 2013: IV bill received and paid

21 May 2013: IV package sent

11 June 2013: response to IV checklist sent

13 June 2013: Case upgraded to CR1

2 July 2013: Case completed

28 August 2013: Interview - approved!

21 September 2013: POE

18 November 2013: Green card received

My husband's citizenship journey:

8 February 2013: N-400 sent
4 March 2013: Biometrics
24 April 2013: Interview
12 June 2013: Oath ceremony

Hi n4th4ly4,

Sorry to hear that you still can't check your case status! Mine works and I keep checking it once a week, but so far no progress... I keep seeing the same message, and there haven't been any touches since 9 August.

I hope you do get approved soon and then you don't need to worry about the case status not showing up. Besides, if you get approved, that should mean that our case is next. :)

About 13 months now I still don’t approve yet, I wrote an e mail to (VSC.NCSCFollowup@uscis.dhs.gov ) follow up from Vermont and I got a reply yesterday starting this ####### bellow. I think this e mail is just a story because base on their uscis website the current approval date is November 20, 2010 and this information was updated on 14 November 2011...

Here comes their reply….

USCIS still has not updated their processing times, but VJ member sumonnahar with a PD on 14 December 2010 just got approved from Vermont. I haven't seen any F2A approvals from California in a while, but if they are still approving F2A petitions within five months, you should get yours very soon.

Hi all August 2011 filers,

Has anyone by any chance been approved yet? I've seen the latest processing times - 1 June 2011 for CSC and 9 January 2011 for VSC - but I am wondering if anyone was lucky and got approved ahead of time?

Meika, did your upgrade go through already? Did you just email your naturalization certificate to USCIS or did you have to send a copy in the post? We are hoping to upgrade our case next year and I'd be interested in knowing how to do it and how long it takes.
