Please VG family I need an opinion on this, Im about to petition for my wife overseas, I-130 is ready and the following are the bonafied evidence that I have:

Marriage certificate

pictures

emails

text messages

passport entry stumps

airline ticket

boarding pass

western union money transfer statement

marrige invitation card

ring receipt

is this enough evidence to show? please any answer or comments is greatly appreciated.

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago

September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)

September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)

October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)

November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

July 23, 2025:  Filed N-400 online

It looks good, but I'd say it depends on your situation: how many times did you visit your wife in Ghana? What's your story?

Can you have any affidavits from people who have known you as a couple since before the wedding?

One thing we did was have Colin (the USC) write a letter explaining how we met, how our relationship developped and how we decided to get married.

We also had affidavits from his mother and brother who came to France for the wedding and had known me for over 2 years.

CR1 Visa

USCIS STAGE: 16 days No expedite request but USC residing abroad
NVC STAGE: 19 days from case # to case complete
03/27/12: interview at Paris embassy - APPROVED
04/12/12: POE San Diego

ROC
01/15/14: sent I-751 application

05/14/14: received card production notification by e-mail, approval date 05/13

Naturalization

02/01/24: N-400 submitted online; Biometrics reuse notice received immediately online; "case being actively reviewed" after a couple hours

02/09/24: received NOA1 by mail

02/10/24: received biometrics reuse notice by mail

04/08/24: interview scheduled for 05/14. Received "We have taken an action in your case" email.

05/14/24: approved at interview, same-day oath ceremony in San Francisco 🥳 🇺🇸

 

Passport

06/10/24: application submitted at post office for passport book and card, paid for expedited processing and shipping

06/24/24: received email notification that passport was approved, then shipped with tracking number

Since Nov 2009 when we get married, u know is very expensive going home frequently i wish i can do that but is costly. having affidavits from people really matter?

I'm sure it's really expensive!

Well, you've been married for 2 years, so you should have a lot of communication material showing that you are a real couple despite the distance (e-mails, letters, call logs, skype logs...).

I don't think affidavits are a must but they sure can't hurt. So if you can have one or a few without easily without delaying your application too much, I'd go for it!

Affidavita may be helpful but not totally going to make or break your petition. I only sent one from a family member. Your list looks good. I sent way less evidence with my I-130 and was approved without any RFE's. Good Luck. :star:
