Hi All,

I just wanted to double check the processing time of my NOA 2

I sent of my I-129F petition for fiance visa back in July to the Texas Service Center and received my first NOA August 9th stating that it had been forwarded to the California Service Center.

It is now Nov 15th, and I still haven't heard anything. Should I be calling to check on the status of this application, and is so whom do I call?

I have a friends wedding coming up in May and I would really like to be in the US for it.

On a side note, I would really like to visit my fiancee for christmas for a few weeks, but im scared this may have some effect on my application.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Hi All,

.... first NOA August 9th stating that it had been forwarded to the California Service Center.

You should expect an NOA2 after about 5 months. You can check online if you want, but I would not bother calling until 5 months have passed. This puts you out to early January 2012.

The timelines are an awesome resource. Use them and add your data for the benefit of others.

As far as visiting, this will only support your evidence of a relationship. Go for it!

I went to see my fiancée between NOA1 and NOA2 and added new photos to the evidence of a relationship file.

you can call USCIS after 5 months to find out what is happening.

if it takes the full 5 month to get approved then you should have a very good chance of being interviewed and be in the US by may

visiting your fiancee at christmas wont affect things at all... just make sure you take proof of your intent to return to the UK so you dont have problems when you land in the US. pack light, a letter from employer or school stating that you will return on a certain date, mortgage or lease agreement... things like that are all good to prove ties to the UK

good luck

No because you are not at 5 months yet. Are you the Beneficiary? You can come and visit for Christmas but nothing id guaranteed of course that you can get in but should not be an issue. Not too sure about the wedding though ihn May but if all goes well after Christmas you should be ehre by May for the wedding.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

From your timeline, down at the very bottom the estimate reads:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 27, 2011 and January 1, 2012

They used to be pretty much on the mark, or not far off that.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

If I do decide to fly to the US for Christmas, say for a 3-4 weeks, will it have an effect on the processing of my visa application? slow it down ?

no it wont affect your visa at all. even if they deny you entry due to lack of ties to the UK it still wont affect your visa in any way shape or form

Hi guys!

Was reading the replies on this one.

We are also nearing our 5 month mark (next week!) so we are looking at the next possible steps.

When you say you can call after 5 months, what do you mean by that?

Call who and what can be done about it?

Will appreciate your thoughts on this.

Thanks!

Do tell when you get it cause you filed around the same time that I did. Hopefully someone who filed in that timeframe will be getting something in the near future like next couple of months.
