Breakfast before labwork?

My fiance's labwork for her K-1 visa is in the morning and her medical is in the afternoon. It's a little too late to call anyone and ask, but are there any requirements for the labwork? I.e. Don't eat breakfast or don't eat or drink anything? We will be arriving at 7am and we just want to know if it is ok for her to eat in the morning before the labwork and X-ray?

I think we're good to go regarding all the information to bring, just need info whether it is ok to eat or not.

If you weren't specifically told, then there are almost certainly no restrictions, no man. These lab tests are probably for specific things (drug usage, diseases, etc.). If this were a regular physical examination, at least an 8-hour fasting period (preferably, 12 hours) would be optimal, because the blood levels would yield truer readings, si man.

If I were her, I'd avoid eating poppy-seed bagels -- those can produce false indications of heroin usage! Her tests might not be that sensitive, but still consider this possible result. A buddy of mine who's a retired airline pilot said that some of his colleagues got into really hot water because they'd eaten poppy-seed bagels too soon before their FAA physicals!

I'm pretty sure they only check the blood for syphilis (and not for drugs).
